Aspect Ratio
DESIGNED FOR CLEAR, COMPATIBLE CONTENT PRESENTATION.
An aspect ratio describes the proportional relationship between a display’s width and height, and is commonly expressed as a ratio or numeric value. Most digital content—such as video, imagery, and signage layouts—falls within a typical aspect ratio range, allowing content to be displayed clearly and without distortion.
Choosing an appropriate aspect ratio helps ensure compatibility with common content formats, supports legible text and graphics, and allows existing content to be adapted with minimal adjustment.
1.0 RATIO (SQUARE)
A 1:1 aspect ratio has equal width and height, offering a balanced and centered presentation. This ratio displays the full image without cropping but provides limited horizontal layout flexibility. This format works well for simple visuals, logos, or content meant to remain compact, though it is less suitable for messages requiring extended text or panoramic imagery.
2.0 RATIO (WIDE)
A 2:1 aspect ratio provides a balanced wide layout that supports most content types. This ratio offers more room for messaging and images while maintaining strong legibility, making it a versatile choice for general signage applications.
3.0 RATIO (EXTRA WIDE)
A 3:1 aspect ratio provides a wide format that offers extended horizontal space, improving readability for long text and wide visuals.
